They don't have that same exact cool crispness of pima cotton, great for hot sleepers or just the hot summer months. But they're breathability as 100% cotton and the smooth, slightly soft crispness is more than good enough for me. I never thought I would like anything but Pima ever again. Other 100% cotton percale sheets I've purchased were okay but did not compete to these. These sheets keep me nice and cool when I'm too hot and keep the air moving through. But they also keep me warm during the current winter, just right, and are wonderfully cozy.Does seem like repeated washing will only make them softer but I haven't witnessed any pilling or any changes that I don't just absolutely love. As a reference, I have only washed my first set about five times now.Sizing as expected. Pineapple pattern is surprisingly cutely retro. To be perfectly honest I only got them because they were the cheapest of all the other patterns. But I found that I quite surprisingly adore them. They remind me of my grandparents for some elusiveness nostalgic reason.
